FESTIVAL OF TREES


Hello everyone!

The Festival of the Trees TRWC committee members met on Saturday and put our tree together. It looks terrific! The tree will be delivered to FOT on Tuesday and prepared for the FOT opening on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. We have a good variety of items donated for gifts under the tree..... thanks to those of you who came up with those items.

Our tree is a white "stick" tree which we picked up just in the nick..... or should I say "Nicki" of time. Nicki called us to let us know about a Christmas yard sale of a friend of hers. So, our tree fits our theme of "Recycle, Reuse,....Recreate!" perfectly.

I hope everyone will get to the Civic Center during the FOT run and get to see our donation to ".... a season for caring".

Thanks to our members and committee members for their time and energy on this worthy cause. FOT gives us another opportunity to get our name out to the public and potential members, a nice little bonus!

The schedule for FOT is published in the Fmtn Daily Times. Here also is a quick rundown. Wednesday eve from 7-9pm, Thursday from 10:00 - 9:00, Friday from 10:00-5:00, and Saturday am from 8:30 - 11:30. The drawing for trees will be held at noon on Saturday. Hope to see you there!

I just wanted to let your group know how much I appreciated the tree you decorated for the Fesival of Trees. I enjoyed the time and effort you put into making the ornaments and some of the gifts under the tree. We gave the tree to an artist friend who even enjoys the tree more than we have.
